In Tashkent, following the arrest of Sh. R. for extortion, his brother, M. R., contacted the investigator, senior lieutenant Komiljon Ghiyosiddinov. He offered a bribe of $400 in exchange for changing his brother’s «custody» status to a lighter precautionary measure. Despite repeated warnings from the investigator that such actions are criminal and carry severe penalties, M. R. persisted in his attempt. He was eventually caught red-handed during an undercover operation while handing over the money in the investigator’s office, resulting in a separate criminal case being opened against him. Senior lieutenant Ghiyosiddinov’s loyalty to his oath and his professional integrity serve as a testament to the rule of law and justice within the system. This incident serves as a serious lesson that true brotherly support lies not in bypassing the law, but in guiding loved ones toward honesty and a righteous path.
